Book not in SHARC?

If you didn’t find the book you need in SHARC, you will have to get it another way.

Search for theĀ  book you need.

Start at the Other Libraries link found in the left hand black sidebar menu on the SU Library web pages.

WorldCat (found on the Other Libraries page) lets you see if other local public and academic libraries have the book.

Google Books isn’t a physical library to visit, but they have scanned an enormous number of books. Often you can find exactly the information you need by searching within a book. Books that are no longer under copyright generally can be downloaded.

Identify a library that will allow you to borrow the book.

Check the BALC and MICUA library lists to identify libraries that lend books to SU students and faculty.

Maryland libraries of all kinds are listed in SAILOR. A Maryland public library card can be used at any Maryland public library.

The Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore has a wealth of resources and librarians who are subject specialists.

Still can’t find what you need?

SU Library participates in ILL (interlibrary loan), a system that libraries use to share books.

Allow up to three weeks for an ILL book to arrive.

SU faculty, staff members and students can place requests through an online form.
